Back to School
Now that school has started again, we all have to adjust to the schedule.  I hear from many clients having difficulty with the transition.  This is especially true of those who have different visitation schedules during the school year and in summer.  It may take a while to adjust.  Patience is very helpful now, even if the other side is being difficult, or downright stupid.  You cannot control them, but you can control you.  The transition will be better if you can avoid or minimize conflict, even if that means letting a lot of things slide, like water of a duck's back.  By no means should anyone ever allow their child to be in danger.  More often one parent is being inconsiderate or overbearing.  While it is annoying.  Much can be overlooked, with effort.  As always though, document, document, document.  Even if you are letting things slide, that doesn't mean to not be smart about it.  You never know when the conflict will erupt to the point of court involvement.  Even if you are not planning to go back to court, you never know what the other side is planning.  Documentation will be important then.  It is not what you know but what you can prove when you get to court.  Good luck in the transition.
